Please review each of the alternative illustrations and the Decision matrix below to see the comparison of engineering and environmental criteria evaluated. After reviewing, be sure to click on the button at the top of the webpage to Provide Your Input.

Alternative A

  • US 30 Mainline has three lanes in each direction on existing US 30 centerline.
  • US 30 Mainline Eastbound and Westbound provides a weave lane (4th lane) between the Norwood Road and PA Route 113 interchanges.
  • The interchange configuration in Alternative A at PA Route 113 is a complete partial diamond interchange.
  • US 30 Westbound Ramps intersect PA Route 113 at a signalized intersection.
  • US 30 Eastbound Off Ramps intersect PA Route 113 as right-turns.
  • The Norwood Road ramps (westbound off and eastbound on) remain.

Alternative B

  • US 30 Mainline has three lanes in each direction on existing US 30 centerline.
  • The interchange configuration in Alternative B at PA Route 113 is a complete partial diamond interchange.
  • US 30 Westbound Ramps intersect PA Route 113 at a signalized intersection.
  • US 30 Eastbound Off Ramps intersect PA Route 113 as right turns.
  • The Norwood Road ramps will remain for emergency access and restricted use.

Alternative C

  • US 30 Mainline has three lanes in each direction on existing US 30 centerline.
  • US 30 Mainline Eastbound and Westbound provides a weave lane (4th lane) between the Norwood Road and PA Route 113 interchanges.
  • The interchange configuration in Alternative C at PA Route 113 is a complete partial diamond interchange.
  • US 30 Westbound Ramps intersect PA Route 113 at a signalized intersection.
  • US 30 Eastbound Ramps intersect PA Route 113 at a signalized intersection.
  • The Norwood Road ramps (westbound off and eastbound on) remain.

Alternative D

  • US 30 Mainline has three lanes in each direction on existing US 30 centerline.
  • US 30 Mainline Eastbound and Westbound provides a weave lane (4th lane) between the Norwood Road and PA Route 113 interchanges.
  • The interchange configuration in Alternative D at PA Route 113 is a complete partial diamond interchange with a flyover ramp for the US 30 Westbound Off Ramp.
  • US 30 Eastbound Ramps and US 30 Westbound Off-Ramp intersect PA Route 113 at a signalized intersection.
  • The Norwood Road ramps (westbound off and eastbound on) remain.

Alternative E

  • US 30 Mainline has three lanes in each direction on existing US 30 centerline.
  • US 30 Mainline Eastbound and Westbound provides a weave lane (4th lane) between the Norwood Road and PA Route 113 interchanges.
  • US 30 Mainline Westbound far right lane is dedicated as an exit only to Norwood Road.
  • The interchange configuration in Alternative E at PA Route 113 is a complete partial diamond interchange.
  • US 30 Westbound Ramps intersect PA Route 113 at a signalized intersection.
  • The Norwood Road ramps (westbound off and eastbound on) remain.
